Sciatica Symptoms

Sciatica is more generally characterized by the discomfort in the body when compared with any kind of thing. Most folk are oblivious to the presence of such a symptom, or problem as you might name them. But it is of significant consequence for many individuals who are troubled by it. It creates severe discomfort along the whole side of the entire body and usually impacts one side of the body, any side. There are many ways in which you can identify sciatica, many of them by their characteristic symptoms. Many people experience prolonged pain in their legs, thighs and waists. It may start from across the lower part of the spine all the way to one’s foot. This pain will be aggrandized due to continuously sitting or standing in one position.

In numerous cases, after several hours of tiresome working within office or place of work, when suddenly one gets up from a crouching position, then when one feels discomfort beyond the regular expected level, then it a note of caution. In recent times, sciatica is observed in people who are mature, working for abnormal hours in abnormal postures. In cases of acute sciatica, even normal actions like sneezing or laughing may cause instances of pain.

It is important to realize that sciaticia need not be limited to one’s foot or spine. The source of the pain can be the sciatic nerve or its related nerves which ply all over the entire body, from the backbone to the leg. Occasionally, the painful sensation in the leg may cross a limit causing numbness and temporary stillness of the leg with searing pain if one tries to move his leg. In many cases, there may also be a tingling feeling in the body, especially in the leg.

The pain once it builds up it is difficult to wear away, but temporary relief may be obtained by sitting down or resting the part of the body experiencing pain. Patients with previous history of abnormal pains may aggravate their chances of sciatica if they follow abnormal postures and habits. The pain may start anywhere, but with the passage of time and If left unchecked then the pain gets localized to the leg and buttocks. The pain now can be indicated by niggling discomfort in the lower waist and might not be sensed in the legs, though in the previous years you could have felt them there too. Some therapies consist of therapies, yoga workouts, hydrology and some even food habits-especially potassium dense food.
